about me
As the Head of the British Library Digital Library Infrastructure Roger developed a blueprint of interoperability and a strategy for the development of the in-house system. At the same time Roger built a Web 2.0 demonstrator using OpenSource software. At the core of this thinking is the need for the mass adoption of bibliographic principles and corresponding use of information assets.
Roger has worked extensively in Knowledge Management; as an independent consultant, as an author, as an MBA tutor and as co-founder of the Knowledge Anarchists. His current thinking is focused on the economic impact of ‘cheap computers and expensive people’ and its ramification throughout organisations.
Currently Roger is visiting professor in Computer Science at Southampton University with interests in agent based computing and web science.
